Wacky MOLE: Media Muses On What Mueller 'Meant' To Say

Eric Scheiner | May 31, 2019

In this week’s Wacky Moments of Liberal Expression:

CNN gets overly-dramatic in their banner, claiming that Trump unleashes a “Flurry of Lies” and forget to mention that he wasn’t lying.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews takes the drama to Shakespeareian levels, channeling the famous line from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet to declare that it's come time for House Democrats to put up or shut up when it comes to impeachment.

CNN and MSNBC's audiences heard repeated assertions on Wednesday that Special Counsel Mueller’s public briefing was “basically” a call for President Trump’s impeachment or prosecution. Rather than simply relaying what Mueller had actually said they all offered their unique interpretation of what Mueller “meant.”

CNN host Don Lemon engaged in a strange effort to shame voters who like the economy under President Trump. “It’s the economy, stupid,” Lemon said. Adding “that could be read in a number of different ways.” He repeated the phrase “it’s the economy, stupid,” perhaps in an effort to convince voters that basing their vote on the strong economy is misguided.
