Many Americans paraphrase Desi Arnaz’s “I Love Lucy” character, Ricky Ricardo, saying “Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do…” when we see someone who has not been honest with us. But a new development in the ongoing story of pop media bias towards big government indicates that the Washington Post and the Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Dr. Anthony Fauci, have MORE than “some ‘splainin’” to put on their agendas.
As FoxNews’ Angelica Stablie reports, Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin recently appeared with Megyn Kelly to do what many of us on the pro-liberty side of America have known for at least a year. He slammed his leftist media colleagues for NOT reporting Fauci’s ties – nay, his DIRECT INVOLVEMENT – in Level Three, Gain-of-Function viral research and pathogen development.
Writes Stablie:
In an interview with Megyn Kelly Wednesday, Rogin revealed that scientists who wish to speak out on details of COVID-19 are barred from doing so since research funding comes from organizations like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which are influenced or run by Fauci.
And that’s just the start.
"People don't want to think about the fact that our hero of the pandemic Dr. Fauci might also have been connected to this research which might also have been connected to the outbreak..."@JoshRogin on what we know so far. Listen, and download here: https://t.co/F96HgIpiAu pic.twitter.com/6EN4KuoWkY

’I often talk to scientists who say the same thing, that say, ‘Listen, we really want to speak out about this, but we can’t do it. Why can’t we do it? Well, we get all of our funding from NIH, or NIAID… which is run by Dr. Fauci,’ he said on Kelly’s podcast. ‘And so we can’t say anything like ‘Oh, gain-of-function research might be dangerous, or it might have come from a lab, because we’re going to lose our careers, we’re going to lose our funding, we’re not going to be able to do the work.'
There’s a big lesson sitting in what Rogin observes, which is that this “federal puppeteering” of science has been around for a while, and it is not isolated to the field of infectious disease. It is the poison flowing through veins from “climate science” to psychotherapy, from “gender studies” to local policing, public schools, and highway funding. Because so many “scientists,” state politicians, and local bureaucrats are dependent on the federal spigot, which, itself, can rely on an infinite Ponzi-like funding scheme from the “money-creating” Federal Reserve, political forces trample real science, state and local education, infrastructure, and policing.
That’s not good, and it’s unconstitutional, lacking any enumerated power in the so-called “rules” set down by the Founders in 1787.
But, in the instances of the WaPo, pop media, and Fauci, it’s worse than that.
As Stabile notes:
Gain-of-function research, which puts pressure on the transmissibility and mutation of pathogens, was advanced five years prior to the coronavirus outbreak in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology–which receives funds to conduct related research from the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) which is overseen by Fauci.
Indeed. Joe Hoft of the Gateway Pundit did a series of reports about a year ago on US funding for and involvement in Gain-of-Function Level Three hazard viral research -- a piece entitled “UPDATED: Dr. Fauci Likely Broke US Regulations and US Law When He Funded Wuhan Lab to Continue Coronavirus Projects That Were Banned in US in 2014” -- Hoft claimed that, though the Obama Administration DHS had supposedly called a moratorium on this type of highly dangerous viral research (in which scientists often make viral pathogens more lethal and transmissible), an active US-Chinese Gain-of-Function project on SARS coronavirus being conducted at UNC Chapel Hill was moved to Wuhan and continued through late 2019.
And Hoft notes that Fauci was integral in applying US taxpayer funds to the continuation of that research.
Now we can report that the leader of the US task force overseeing the country’s response to the China coronavirus, Dr. Tony Fauci, was the one who funded the Wuhan bat virus work and kept it going.
In fact, in another piece, Hoft cites the Fauci-NIH funding for the relocated viral work to have been about $3.7 million.

Curiously, Fauci hasn’t offered a lot of commentary on this, and the pop media, despite having the information available to them, have assiduously avoided it. Likewise, the popsters also have avoided the fact that, when leftists in DC were attacking anyone who might mention that Hydroxychloroquine might work well with Zinc as a therapeutic to help people suffering from the Wuhan SARS CoV-2 coronavirus, Anthony Fauci’s massive and unconstitutional agency already had funded a 2005 study showing that HCQ had powerful salutary effects on a SARS virus.
That would be a study entitled: “Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread” that has been readily available at PubMed for ages. In fact, I found that information in February of last year. How come, from my research on the COVID-19 news coverage, it looks like Anthony Fauci hasn’t discussed this, or been asked about it? One would think he was aware of what his own agency had funded, both in Wuhan and in 2005 when HCQ was shown to be a powerful therapeutic against SARS.
Hmmm... Odd.
At least Rogin is now speaking up.
’The head of the funding, the head of the entire field, really, is Anthony Fauci,’ he said. ‘He’s the godfather of gain-of-function research as we know it. That, again, just what I said right there, is too hot for TV because people don’t want to think about the fact that our hero of the pandemic… might also have been connected to this research, which might also have been connected to the outbreak.’
Not to nitpick, but Mr. Rogin is wrong to say, “people don’t want to think about the fact…”
Some of us “people” do, and have.
It’s the left-leaning, government-cheering, blind-to-the-Constitution, blind-to-ethics, pop media and social media tech giants who have not wanted to think about it.
And they not only have blocked us from getting out the information, they have ridiculed and persecuted many of us for trying.
