Anyone who is anyone in politics is being asked about the possible indictment and arrest of former President Donald Trump over his alleged dealings with aged porn star Stormy Daniels. Many believe that whatever happened is being “weaponized” by an activist District Attorney for Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, instead of focusing on actual crimes terrorizing New York City citizens.
And now, you can count Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) among those who believe the actions being taken against Trump are part of a partisan political witch hunt.
“The Manhattan District Attorney is a [George] Soros-funded prosecutor,” DeSantis said on Monday. “And so he, like other Soros-funded prosecutors, they weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety. He has downgraded over 50 percent of the felonies to misdemeanors.”
While DeSantis refrained from talking about the actual case pending against Trump involving Daniels, the governor did call out Bragg for using his office to prosecute those he might have a political axe to grind against.

“But what I can speak to is if you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments, you know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office,” DeSantis said. “And I think that’s fundamentally wrong.”

The question asked to DeSantis and his subsequent response comes just two days after Trump posted to his Truth Social account, conveying that he believe he will be arrested this Tuesday, while also calling on supporters to “PROTEST” should an arrest occur.
