Maybe Disney World really is “the happiest place on Earth.” At least, it currently is for two newly adopted children.

Janielle, 12, and Elijah, 10, became the foster children of Portland, Penn. natives Courtney and Tom Gilmour three years ago.

Fast-forward to April of this year, and the Gilmours planned an “adoption reveal” set to take place while the family attended a Star Wars convention at Disney World in Orlando.

According to Fox 13 - Tampa:

Just before they left for Florida, [Courtney] Gilmour said they got the exact adoption date, and she enlisted the help of the [Mickey] Mouse himself to help tell the kids[…]

Gilmour said she Tweeted the plans once they arrived in Orlando and Walt Disney World took notice to help make their 24 hours at the Magic Kingdom even more special by setting up a special meet and greet with Mickey for them.

Take a look for yourself at the special moment (WARNING: watching this video may cause excessive eye moisture).

Gilmour wanted to make the occasion extra special, since she herself was a product of the foster care system.

“I shared the video because I want to continue to draw attention to foster care and adoption," Gilmour told FOX 13. "Being a former foster child myself and now a foster/adopt mother, it's very important we don't forget there is lots of help needed.”

Congratulations to all the members of the Gilmour family, old and new!
