WATCH: Ronald Reagan's Incredible Veterans Day Speech from 1988

On Veteran's Day in 1988, shortly before leaving office, President Ronald Reagan gave this speech in which he not only honored those who had fought and died in Vietnam, but was also sharply critical of the way the war was handled.  

“Perhaps at this late date we can all agree that we’ve learned one lesson: that young Americans must never again be sent to fight and die unless we are prepared to let them win.”
