Remember that time White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre ran for president?

Me either.

KJP was widely mocked on X Tuesday for a post claiming that she once ran for the Oval Office.

“Investing in America means investing in ALL of America,” read Jean-Pierre’s since-deleted post on X. “When I ran for President, I made a promise that I would leave no part of the country behind.”

The majority of the country was left scratching their heads as to why she would make such a claim. Many in the country laughed at the ineptness of the Biden administration for having a social media post like this appear on the press secretary’s account (did anyone actually believe Biden was in control of “his” posts on social media?).

“Oh wow! They tweeted from the wrong account! @PressSec Karine Jean-Pierre has not run for President, at least to the best of my knowledge,” Simon Ateba, Today News Africa correspondent, posted using a screen shot from KJP’s account.

In the past, KJP has actually claimed herself to be “a historic figure,” and this social media post is historically inept, so perhaps her boasting is not too far of base.
