One of the most bizarre occurences in Florida state politics occurred in Wednesday night's Gubernatorial debate between incumbent Rick Scott (R) and challenger Charlie Crist (D).
Governor Scott refused to take the stage for nearly 7 minutes at the beginning of the debate, citing an objection to Crist having an electric fan under his podium. Having the fan under his podium, according to Scott's team, broke rules established for debate.
