House Speaker John Boehner told the press that another week has been wasted in negotiations on the fiscal cliff and that the president seems to have adopted a strategy of “slow walking” the country off the fiscal cliff. He stated that earlier statements by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner that the president was willing to go off the fiscal cliff unless taxes were raised on top income earners…

The Associated Press reported that union members were pepper-sprayed by police in Michigan after they attempted to storm the Michigan Senate chamber after the passage of right-to-work legislation.  But, you wouldn’t know that if you watched most national news networks this morning.  So far, ABC and CBS haven’t mentioned the arrests.  Al Sharpton mentioned them in a fawning pro-union piece on…

Michigan's legislature approved bills that would make the state a right-to-work state, and Governor Rick Snyder has vowed to sign the legislation. You wouldn't know that if you watched CBS This Morning. As you can see, they had much more important stories to cover.

Marijuana advocate Tommy Chong had a bizarre yet hilarious interview with Stuart Varney on Varney & Co. NBC News jumped at the chance to criticize Senator Jim DeMint for his announcement that he is leaving the US Senate to lead the Heritage Foundation. MSNBC Live host Thomas Roberts and MSNBC contributor Robert Traynham scolded DeMint for leaving his seat early. Just for fun, can anyone think of someone else who left the Senate before his term was up?

Current TV host Stephanie Miller responded to NewsBusters' criticism of her remarks that Republicans wanted to turn poor people into mulch by claiming she was joking and NewsBusters needs a sense of humor. A couple notes to Ms. Miller: 1. The "it was a joke" excuse only works if what you said was actually funny. 2. If you're going to attack Republicans for every joke they make, you can't complain…

MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell gave a frightening look at the self-described "Progressive" solution to the fiscal cliff. Howard Dean stated that everyone, not just top income earners, need to pay higher taxes. Dean argued that the higher taxes caused by the cliff made going over the cliff the best idea.  MSNBC analyst Krystal Ball stated that deficit reduction was a bad idea and no…

CNN's Erin Burnett went full Keynesian in her interview with Grover Norquist on Tuesday. When Norquist stated that he believed spending had to be cut to decrease the deficit, Burnett incredulously argued that spending cuts would destroy economic growth and that spending was needed to stimulate the economy.

Last night, CNN's Piers Morgan argued that he opposes the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment that means everyone should own an assault rifle. However, the most twisted logic was employed by Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz, who argued the 2nd Amendment only applies to militias and that supporting the right to self-defense logically ends in supporting citizens owning nuclear and chemical weapons…
