Austin Cites ‘Route’ Taken by Flying Objects in Decision to Shoot Them Down

Defense Secretary Gen. Lloyd Austin said on Monday that the Pentagon does not know if the three high-altitude flying objects downed by the U.S. Air Force in recent days “were actually collecting intelligence,” but cited “the route that they took” as a factor in the decision to shoot them down.
