After meeting in Madrid last week with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President Biden said he had reaffirmed his earlier stance of support for the sale of F-16 fighter planes to Turkey. The meeting came shortly after Erdogan lifted his veto of Finland and Sweden’s applications to join NATO.
