Blinken Thanks Abbas, Who Has Yet to Condemn Jerusalem Attack, For ‘Resolute Stance Against Terrorism’

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday that he appreciates his “consistent and resolute stance against terrorism.” Abbas has not publicly condemned a deadly Palestinian terrorist attack near a Jerusalem synagogue on Friday night, nor spoken out against the boisterous celebrations that erupted on the streets of several Palestinian cities as news of the attack spread.
