Gosnell Protest: Babies' Bodies To Be Held For 10 Years By Philly
The babies who suffered under the hands of abortionist doctor Kermit Gosnell haven't had their story finished yet: the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office could retain their bodies for up to 10 years. Protesters once again called attention to the babies murdered by jury convicted Gosnell on August 26.
The rally, followed by a vigil the evening before, was phase two of "A Cry For Dignity." During the event, protesters carried signs with names assigned to the babies brutalized by Gosnell (charged with murder of three).
Student's for Life President Kristan Hawkins bashed the city, arguing, "Can you imagine if they did that -- if I died today and the City of Philadelphia said they weren't going to release my body for 10 years? We would say that's inhumane. We would say that's barbaric."
Hawkins concluded, "I think what they're trying to do is kind of hold them hostage a little bit and threaten us. But we're not going to go away. We're going to keep coming back to Philadelphia, keep talking about Kermit Gosnell, and we're going to keep talking about these babies who are now being vitimized for a second time by the medical coroner."

The protest responded to an earlier rally where the Medical Examiner's Office barred its doors to a letter from pro-life activists asking about the babies' remains.
