FOX NOTICIAS EN FOX DEPORTES

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: Donald Trump has begun mass deportations. You've seen it- it’s all over the news. This week we saw an actress- singer, Selena Gomez, tearfully denounce Donald Trump's policies on social media. I think it’s... I think it's certain that this kind of thing, this- this emotional response in the media from politicians, from celebrities, from the media- this is going to continue. So my question to you is: what is your message to (those) who think like Selena Gomez, or who have that reaction to the deportations of illegals?

KELVIN ALVARENGA: Well, first of all… right? Selena Gómez is an entertainer. She is- she is a person who entertains people so... it may be that many of these, perhaps, are seeking more attention. Because, first of all, they would have to educate themselves a little bit because we, as Americans, are not animals that would just do these deportations randomly, because the deportations that are being seen today are (of) people who already have a (criminal) background, who were already on a list. The only thing that is changing is that today, action is being taken on that list. But every- every human being in this country, the beauty of this country is that we have rights. Even immigrants have their rights. It's not that they're going to get picked up today and tomorrow they're in their country of origin. So all of these deportations we’re seeing are because these people have already committed a crime in some case, or already had a deportation. People who came back in. So let's reflect a bit on what the President is trying to do, and not change the subject (by saying) that separating families is inhumane. As long as people come to this country with good deeds, then they can be kept together.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: Kelvin…

ALVARENGA: I think they should try to stop using their platforms for personal gain through attention.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: Yeah. Selena Gomez also has private security, which is interesting as well.
