Within minutes of Disney-owned ABC's indefinitely suspending late night host Jimmy Kimmel after he falsely reported that Charlie Kirk's assassin was a right-wing Trump supporter, the left immediately began screaming "free speech" and accusing President Donald Trump's FCC of pressuring ABC to fire Kimmel.
But a new report from the Hollywood Reporter Thursday revealed Disney executives knew Kimmel was planning to double down on his anti-MAGA stance during his Wednesday monologue. After fielding calls from angry advertisers and multiple local networks threatening to pull the show from their airwaves, the company decided to mitigate the damage and pull Kimmel - who had clearly become a liability - from the show.
It hasn't been a good week for leftwing narratives.
