Sandra Fluke admits during a women's forum that 'maybe someday I will' run for political office.'
She cites Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, saying
that if more women were in office there wouldn't be a contraception
argument. She concludes by promoting 2012 as a possible year of the
woman, 'just like every election year should be.'
Fluke spoke at Rep. Eleanor Norton's women forum, “Opportunities &
Challenges for a New Generation of Women,” in honor of women's history
month at the Rayburn House Office Building on Tuesday. The forum hosted
DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever as well.
