State Dept. Defends Nord Stream 2 Deal, Says Sanctions Could Not Have Stopped Pipeline’s Completion

State Department spokesman Ned Price on Thursday doubled down on the assertion that there was nothing sanctions could have done to prevent the completion the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a which he said was 90 percent done by the time the Biden administration took office.
