In announcing on Sunday his impending departure from Meet the Press, Chuck Todd insisted that during his nine years as host of the program, “we didn’t tolerate propagandists and this network and program never will.” He portrayed criticisms of his bias, not as complaints to address and correct, but as badges of honor: “I take the attacks from partisans as compliments, and I take the compliments from partisans with a grain of salt.”
