Sports, the modern day format to showcase athleticism, skill and finesse when grueling manual-labor jobs, wars featuring hand-to-hand combat, and gladiators are no longer necessary.

Sports is one of the best ways to be a part of a group, something larger than ourselves. To be in a stadium with tens of thousands of fellow fans, we seem to be elevated to a higher sense of belonging and euphoria. Collective effervescence abounds.

Fans decorate their bodies, cities issue proclamations, and people celebrate victories as if they've won the lottery.

Here are ten reasons why sports is more exciting than politics:

1.) You see the immediate results of failed policies

2.) Easier to Spectate

3.) People rarely die or starve to death as a result of decisions made in sports

4.) There are definite winner and loser instead of unknown outcomes down the road

5.) Cheating is easier to spot (Test for)

6.) Rivals dislike only personal preference, compared to entirety of a person
