A dog in Thailand, named Pui, received a medal for his actions in saving a newborn baby girl who was put into a plastic bag and left at a roadside garbage dump. Pui found the bag and carried to his owner, whose niece opened the bag and found the little baby swaddled inside.
The baby girl was believed to have been born prematurely and was subsequently placed into an incubator at a nearby hospital. It was reported that there were at least five families that were willing to adopt the girl upon her recovery.
