A grandmother from Fort Worth, Texas flipped the situation on its head when she retrieved a gun from her purse and pointed it at her assailants head.

Jewell Turner was sitting in her parked van outside of her doctor’s office when a man approached her window, asking her for directions.

The 74-year-old, not wanting to be rude, rolled down her window and was immediately threatened by a knife being held to her throat, the man demanding money.

She reached into that purse, armed herself with her gun and returned the threat saying, “You back off or I’ll blow your head off.” She explains that the would-be robber’s “eyes got big and he just backed up and he took off walking down the street like nothing happened.”

Though she has come through the event physically unscathed, it still terrifies her.

“It’s the most devastating, scary thing you’ll ever have in your life,” the courageous woman said. “It scares you to death. I don’t want to go through that ever again and I don’t want nobody else to go through it.”

Turner now warns others to be more aware of their surroundings and to never roll down your window for anybody, even if you feel it makes you rude.

Kudos to you, Grandma Jewell. Your bravery and command of your second amendment rights stands as an example for all Americans who would otherwise be victims of cowards and fools.
