“Reverend” Raphael Warnock, the recently-elected Democrat senator from Georgia who leads a “Christian congregation” while still supporting the murder of infants in the womb, lit up Twitter on Easter Sunday with a particularly heretical tweet that declared Easter wasn’t actually about Jesus Christ rising from the dead.
“The meaning of Easter is more transcendent than the Resurrection of Jesus,” the far-left pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church tweeted on the holiest of Christian holidays. “Whether you are Christian or not, through a commitment to helping others we are able to save themselves.”
Naturally, even the fetid cesspool that is Twitter was quick to note that any Christian minister with even a basic familiarity with Scripture would understand that Easter is entirely about the resurrection of Jesus – and literally wouldn’t exist otherwise – and isn’t simply another soapbox to be used by rabid leftists to push a socialist government agenda.
This is a heresy. We cannot save ourselves. https://t.co/KJXvzSqlXA

This is what the heresy of liberation theology does—reduces the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to self-salvific moralism and thereby making ourselves God. https://t.co/6gShUluWI6

No. The resurrection of Christ is the entire meaning of Christianity - without it there is death and the grave for Christ. https://t.co/2vkxMfCiUA

Even Warnock must have realized there was something fundamentally wrong with his latest hot take, as he quickly deleted the tweet.
Unfortunately for him, the internet is forever – as is Jesus Christ.
