Strangers rushed from their vehicles and banded together to save a truck driver whose trailer was dangling on the edge of a cliff after his 18-wheeler swerved off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Thankfully, the snow and ice on the road didn’t send the entire truck off the cliff. The driver was wedged in his seat and the incline was too steep to climb alone.
Locking arm-in-arm, the team of strangers formed a human chain to bring the driver to safety.
“I don’t know any of their names, I don’t remember what their faces look like, I can’t tell you anything other than, for a few minutes on a Friday night in very bad weather and a terrible situation, they pulled together and made a terrible situation a little better by helping someone out that was really in need,” said rescuer Arlyn Satanek.
