For all of those people wondering if and when former President Donald Trump will be allowed to rejoin Twitter after Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s deal to buy the social media platform, wonder no more.
Trump told Fox News on Monday that while he hopes Musk buys Twitter, he won’t be returning to Twitter because he wants to stay exclusively on his own TRUTH Social platform.
“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH," Trump said. "I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”

It was reported on Monday that Musk “worked out a deal” with Twitter to purchase the company. One of the big question was whether Musk would reinstate Trump’s account after he had been silenced by the platform while he was still the president.
As far as TRUTH Social, it’s been a success in terms of people wanting to join, but it’s also been a mixed bag response because of the limited rollout. The app isn’t yet available on the Google Play Store, which is what Android phones use to procure applications for users.
It’ll be interesting to see if a natural rivalry might build out of Trump staying on TRUTH and Musk making Twitter private again, particularly heading into the 2024 election season.
