In a Wednesday night Tweet, presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump wrote that he will officially announce his choice of a running mate at 11 a.m. on Friday morning.
The announcement will take place in Manhattan.
It is believed that Trump has narrowed his list of potential running mates down to four people: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich told Sean Hannity that he believes that Trump has narrowed the choice down to himself and Mike Pence, although Trump seemed to contradict that on Wednesday.
"I'm narrowing it down. I mean I'm at three, potentially four. But in my own mind, I probably am thinking about two," Trump, who will spend Thursday fundraising in California, told Fox's Bret Baier on Wednesday.
