Disney and Pixar are back with some big news.

John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer for Pixar and Disney, will be directing the new film along with the stars that helped create the previous three. We can assume that, at this point, Tim Allen and Tom Hanks will reprise their roles as Buzz and Woody. After all, you can’t have Toy Story without Hanks and Allen.

TheVerge who has the story says,

“The story for this fourth film is being created by Lasseter alongside Lee Unkrich, the director of Toy Story 3, Pete Docter, the director of Up, and Andrew Stanton, the director of Finding Nemo — so this is truly coming from a team of Pixar all stars. They have also all worked on prior Toy Story films. The screenplay will be written by Rashida Jones, who has starred on Parks and Recreation and The Office, and Will McCormack, who previously wrote Celeste & Jesse Forever alongside Jones. Galyn Susman, who has been producing Toy Story shorts for Pixar, is producing the film too.”

This movie should be good. To me, the first installment of the trilogy will go down as the best. While the third movie did tug on some heart strings here and there, I still say the first one was the best and I don’t think I am the only one. That said, it looks to be a good sign that Lasseter is on board as the director. This means that we should get a film as good as, if not better than, the first. I fully understand that when you are creative, it is pretty hard to one-up yourself and, maybe, that's why we haven't seen as many new films and more sequels, but the slate for Pixar will have two new ideas coming out next year and then three sequels, two in 2016, Toy Story 4 in 2017.

First up slated for a June 19, 2015 release is Inside and Out. This should be a very emotional ride. Its being as a "Major Emotion Picture".

Also slated for 2015 is The Good Dinosaur, staring John Lithgow and Neil Patrick Harris, and Judy Greer.
