Ex-Border Hawk Scarborough Now Says GOP Defies Jesus On Immigration

Joe Scarborough used to be a hawk on immigration and border security, saying there was "an ongoing invasion of illegal immigrants from Mexico" that included "drug dealers, gang members, convicted felons, and quite possibly terrorists." But he has transitioned into an immigration dove. On Morning Joe, he approvingly quotes Pope Leo who says we must treat foreigners as our neighbors. And Scarborough says in his own right that in taking a tough stance on immigration, Republicans are defying everything Jesus said on the subject.
