Howard Kurtz Thinks It's 'Important' for Media to 'Lead the Conversation' on Guns

CNN's media critic Howard Kurtz re-affirmed his stance that the press needed to be "leading the conversation" on guns in the wake of the Newtown shooting.

Conservative Times columnist Ross Douthat countered that the media has selective outrage, because many reporters "lean pro-choice and lean liberal on social issues" and thus were "less likely" to "lead the conversation" on abortion after the Gosnell trial.
