MSNBC guest Elie Mystal isn’t concerned about polls showing Donald Trump ahead of President Joe Biden because Trump’s support is fueled by the racism of his supporters and his appeal to it. On Sunday night’s Mehdi Hasan Show on MSNBC, Elie Mystal cited a study which contended the “biggest indicator of whether or not you support Trump is whether or not you believe racism has been defeated.”
The justice correspondent for The Nation magazine asserted “Trump’s running on white grievance” and “without racism, Trump is just dumber Chris Christie, alright? And that is why he is where he is because he plays into the racism of his fans.”
