Several MSNBC shows on Friday touted an attack on Justice Clarence Thomas, and his wife, Ginni, by Jane Mayer, a left-wing journalist for the New Yorker with a long history of hostility to the Thomas.’
On Friday’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, for instance, fill-in anchor Garrett Haake announced “a new New Yorker article is raising questions about Thomas’ wife’s conservative activism. “Is Ginni Thomas a Threat to the Supreme Court?” read the magazine headline.
Mayer called Ginni Thomas’ political activities “astonishing and worrisome” and cited a ethics expert, who she failed to note is a liberal Democrat, to say she’s “behaving horribly” and that he contends “it’s undermining the administration of justice and the rule of law.”
