On the Christmas Day edition of MSNBC's The Cross Connection, host Tiffany Cross asked Michael Harriot, a Guardian columnist, about his Christmas/New Year's plans. Harriot replied, in part: "I'm always hating on Christmas, and telling everybody that Kwaanza is a better holiday than Christmas. So that's my favorite thing to do, just hating on Christmas."
