As tyrants so often do, on December 29th the Biden Administration quietly slid out a “slow-news/Holiday-hidden” announcement of many more “regulations” it is imposing on your market choices of home appliances. And to add insult to injury, it’s all for their religion-like claim to be preventing a Kali-esque demigod, “anthropogenic climate change” from destroying the world. It’s a false…

Perhaps due to the daily barrage of stories revealing vast immigration disputes in the US, many Americans might feel twisted, darkly ironic satisfaction seeing one of the highest profile proponents of “sanctuary cities” and unchecked immigration appear, month-by-month, to be changing his proverbial “tune.” Indeed, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D), seems to be growing more averse to “…

Many saw this coming. As many proponents and defenders of the right to keep and bear arms have warned since the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued its “NY Rifle and Pistol Association v Bruen” in 2022, the two-tiered “scrutiny” the SCOTUS invented as the “litmus test” to see if state infringements on the right to keep and bear arms actually are infringements has become the…

In August, I got to report for MRCTV that a branch of the ever-expanding Maine bureaucracy was gearing-up (pun intended) for a vote on their government goal to mandate that 82 percent of car sellers and buyers in the state no longer trade in internal combustion engine vehicles as of 2032. The Maine Board of Environmental Protection (a questionable title) was readying its pantomime “hearing”…

Taking his well-known page from the humorous spoof holiday in which people could “air their grievances” on “Seinfeld,” Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) Friday released his annual “Festivus Report” exposing approximately $900 BILLION in federal government waste. It’s enough to burn up one’s mental yule log, melt a few candy canes, and send Rudolf’s nose into a blaze, because the federal panderers…

Since December 15 marked the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the US Bill of Rights, and December 16 was the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, perhaps it’s time to assess the status of our Natural Rights. In other words, do we live in the purported “Land of the Free,” or are we trapped in the “Land of the Lost”? Reference to recent US, state, and local government action tilts the…

Al Gore has done yeoman’s work maintaining his reputation as a stuffy, arrogant, faux intellectual who has no qualms about telling people he will use the force of government to mess with their peaceful lives. Everything from rock music to the internal combustion engine has been in his collectivist crosshairs, to the point where, just over a week ago, as he stepped in and out of the air-…

At Christmas time, Americans often accessorize their celebration of the birth of Christ with childhood memories of family, friends, surprises, songs, decorations, and even classic television broadcasts - the latter of which, one must admit, often had very little to do with Christ, but still filled the heart with fondness and cheer. One such classic is the 1970 Rankin and Bass stop-motion…

When will a majority of Americans open their eyes to the growing political favoritism -- a.k.a. mercantilism, a.k.a. economic fascism -- the federal and state governments have slid into their lives? When will they tire of repeatedly discovering that their self-seen patriotism has been levered to fill the corrupt coffers of people who operate institutions, engage in activity, and push philosophies…

Albert Einstein often receives credit for observing, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” And Conservatives might want to reflect on that aphorism, especially when discovering this new wrinkle in the increasingly ugly face of federal “control” over immigration. Joseph Simonson reports for the Washington Free Beacon: “A senior official…
