Each week for the past two, I have written stories reporting on the grave arrogance and disastrous consequences of government “minimum wage” mandates. Now, thanks to the wits and research of Kevin Killough at Just The News, we get to explore another revelation about the politicians and their love of telling others how they can engage in private market transactions. He notes that caterwauling…

In a move that reveals both how much the Biden Administration likes to engage in racial prejudice and how wide is the gulf between what the U.S. Constitution says and what many contemporary Americans claim it says, a federal court in Texas last Friday issued an injunction against the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) race-based “disaster relief” program that Biden and…

In political philosophy class, my students and I make quick work of exposing the yarn that “the people” create the government, (i.e. the polis) to protect lives and property from attacks and threats of attack by other people. First, that implies that the imposition of the polis is voluntary, which is counter to the very difference between a polis and society. All political systems are…

MRCTV last week reported on California-based Kaiser Permanente’s desperate request for doctors to return after the mega-medical corporation fired them for not taking the mRNA jab. Now, we get to follow-up with another breaking story indicating how desperate California's medical field is for skilled workers, and exposing the fact that, by his own actions, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is…

These attacks may be angering, wasteful, and harmful, but at least the government thugs give us opportunities to return to economics and civics class and remember who actually wields the aggressive power. As Matthew Daly reports for the Associated Press, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and 22 of his Democrat Party allies Thursday called for the Biden Department of “Justice” (a misused term, if…

To employ dark humor, at least the stuffed-shirts in government give you “options.” Sure, they take your money and redirect it to their cozy special interest friends. Sure, they eliminate your real options and reduce your choices in your real life, warping resource allocation and utilization, including the resources of human time, thought, and labor… but they DO give you other things.…

They are unforgettable: the offensive and shocking reports of America’s biggest “healthcare” provider, Kaiser Permanente, firing and then using security guards to remove skilled nurses who would not conform to the unmerited, illogical, government-promoted, government-funded Big Pharma mRNA COVID jabs... The stunning reports that the U.S. government was commanding members of the military to take…

Merit is an essential part of a free market. Recognition of it helps good employees achieve better pay; it helps consumers decide what they like and what they will pay for it, and it helps businesses prosper over those that do not achieve the levels of skill and customer satisfaction consumers want. Merit is not valued in political circles. Rather than allow consumers, business owners, and…

When it comes to the offense of tax-paid government thugs trying to silence free speech in the U.S., the only way more proverbial shoes could drop might be if an earthquake hit a cobbler’s shop. Even as the Biden administration keeps running its FBI and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) push to make social media platforms remove pro-liberty posts (until the moment…

Whether they toss around this propaganda because they are toweringly ignorant about economics, or they do so in order to provide cover for themselves, for Joe Biden, and for the immoral, economically destructive system of central bank-issued fiat currency they force on us, one may never know, but one thing is demonstrably certain: Senator Liz Warren (D-MA) and many of her cohorts on Capitol Hill…
