During a 2010 interview President Obama's pick to run the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Richard Cordray, explained why he, as Attorney General of Ohio, was not joining other states in lawsuits against Obamacare. In laying out his reasoning he expresses his belief that any legislation which has even "incidental effects on the economy" is a "valid exercise of congressional authority".

David Sears, the creative director for the next installation of Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 series, was interviewed by GotGame and asked about Occupy Wall Street's influence on the game's storyline. He said that while the game's story was actually developed two years ago it is "haunting" how much the "political climate" is "aligning with our subject matter".
